Paralegal Power Breaks are short information packed sessions that provide useful career information to paralegals at all career levels. This is the 3rd session in the Time Management series.
There is a direct correlation between how well your time is spent and what you earn. Paralegals are in the same position as attorneys. Their time is billed back to clients. Even if you never take a business course in your career it is imperative to understand how your time is, or when it is wasted is not billed back to clients, how this impacts a legal organization's profits, and your overall compensation. Although you may not earn a bonus based on your organization's annual profits your ability to earn any salary is dependent on the organization staying in business. If an organization is not able to sale its product or service it will eventually go out of business and therefore the salary that is earned from that organization will cease to exist.
Legal professionals that bill for their time, which includes paralegals are in essence selling their time. If time is wasted an organization is not selling its service. As the saying goes "Time is Money".
Discover how saving time can impact how much you earn.
